First of all, Chilean and Argentinean wine regions are so perfectly wonderful for producing amazing grapes, that most of the wine leaders, like Rothschild and Mondavi, have purchased vineyards down there. There are amazing examples of Cabernets, Merlots, Chardonnays, and Sauvignon Blancs….or, you could try something offbeat like an up-and-coming grape like Malbec, Carmenere, or Bonarda. Second, the wines are amazingly affordable. Taste dozens of both whites and reds from the best producers in the hemisphere!
